Celebrating a life of a soldier in the Lord

In Loving Memory of Patrick Matachi

Patrick Matachi, a vibrant young man and minister of the gospel in this ministry has rested. Patrick was a student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), awaiting graduation with a degree in Education Science (Mathematics and Physics). He was not only a scholar but also a faithful servant of God, actively involved in the JOOUST Christian Union and a committed member of Weso Ministry JOOUST chapter.

Throughout his campus journey, Patrick served in WESO ministry at fellowship level and even national level with passion and devotion. He also passionately served in various ministries, including media coordination, discipleship, ushering, missions, and compassionate service. He had a deep burden for high school missions, a love for prayer and discipleship, and a special place in his heart for mentoring first-year students.

We mourn the loss of a humble, resilient, and God-fearing young man whose life reflected the heart of service. His commitment to the Kingdom work will forever be remembered by his family, friends, and church community.

May his legacy live on through the lives he touched.

Rest well, Patrick. You ran your race faithfully.

A man full of dreams

A man full of God

A man in the training field

A darling to many

At JOOUST and even beyond.

The death of Pato is not only painful but stressing..

Weso has lost a gallant soldier

But then, what do we say?

We only have to mourn as those with Hope.

In the past two Weso missions, Patrick, alias “patography” was so vibrant especially in media departments, he was in charge of photography in Netima mission and he even ministered in a revival service in our last years Nambale mission.

It is sad that we lost Pato
He was so committed to the work of ministry

In our Nambale mission he shared with us on the need for discipleship in a revival service

We shall miss him

This is such a hurting and a time of much desperation.
But we can mourn together as we trust in the LORD for his soul to rest in paradise

Pato had just finished his 4th year at JOOUST and was awaiting graduation later this year.

Yes we have lost a soldier,
But Heaven has gained a warrior.

We cry Yes,
I’m also in tears as I type this,
But we don’t stop praying.

We grieve yes,
But we don’t stop gathering.

We mourn yes,
But we don’t stop going.

Patrick lived a poured out life,
Now we must live fired up,
Continuing strongly in his legacy,

The mission continues,
The call remains,
The kingdom marches on.

Though the pain is deep,
God’s presence is deeper.

Though he lived just 22,
He lived like a 100.

He discipled,
He poured,
He served,
He prayed,
He loved,
He obeyed.

And now is our turn.

Family,
Don’t let your faith fail now,
The baton has fallen into our hands,
Let’s run like he didπŸƒβ€β™€
WITH ALL THAT WE HAVE.

SLEEP SLEEP MATACHI SLEEP. πŸ˜πŸ«‚πŸ™‡β€β™€
